Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.
- Program Design & Leadership: Lead the strategic evolution of Nutanix’s internal investigations program. You will design and implement scalable investigative guidelines, case management systems, and whistleblower triage processes that can withstand future scale.
- Complex Investigations: Personally lead and conduct sensitive, high-priority investigations into allegations of misconduct, potentially including fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest, and financial improprieties. You will deliver clear, actionable findings to executive leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner deeply with Employee Relations, Human Resources, Legal, Internal Audit, and business leadership. You will work across teams to drive consensus on remedial actions, ensure consistent disciplinary outcomes, and foster a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Systemic Improvement & Prevention: Go beyond the "case closed" stamp by using investigation data to identify trends, root causes, and control gaps. You will advise the business on process improvements and preventive measures to mitigate future risk.
- Significant Experience: 10+ years of legal or compliance experience, with a strong emphasis on conducting and managing complex internal investigations in a corporate or government setting. Experience with a technology company or channel distribution model is strongly preferred.
- Leadership: Experience managing and developing high performance teams.
- Collaborative Influence: A proven ability to build strong relationships and work effectively across diverse teams and geographies. You excel at influencing stakeholders without direct authority and navigating complex, matrixed organizations.
- Operational Excellence: You have a "growth mindset" and a track record of building things from scratch. You don't just follow processes; you design them for efficiency and scalability.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Deep knowledge of investigation best practices and relevant legal frameworks (e.g., FCPA, UK Bribery Act, revenue recognition principles).
- Credentials: JD degree and active membership in at least one state bar (or local equivalent).
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. Workplace type may vary based on location and team requirements. Please speak with your recruiter for details. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
